If it's your first time traveling during COVID-19, you'll notice a host of new rules and restrictions in place. Take note of these tips and make your trip to Nangyuan Island a smooth one:

• Understand what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so don't forget to check in advance.

• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
